Casino Cosmopol, the branch of the state-owned Svenska Spel that governs casino operations in the country was fined by Sweden’s Lotteriinspektionen regulatory body last month. The fine amounts to SEK 8 million which is around $881,000. However, Casino Cosmopol is not taking.

A day entry costs 60 SEK, but so does an annual membership if you submit your e-mail address, so ask for the membership and it gives you a discount on numerous dishes like their meal of the week with meat and fish/vegetarian options.

The chef is really good and I’ve found that special attention is always given to the meal of the week because it never disappoints – and it ends up costing less than half of what a similar quality dish would elsewhere in Malmö. A real Michelin feel every time.

There are also good options on the usual menu. Highlights are their exceptional ribs which comes as a big portion, as well as the Caesar salad with chicken and bacon. Remember that many dishes have a membership discount so let them know if you have one when ordering.

There’s also a lovely patio open via the 2nd floor when weather permits.
